Dropped by White Wall gallery to checkout new works of Greg Gossel's opening Sleepwalking. The show will be running from June 12 - July 3, 2010. Gossel applies multiple layers of collage, on silkscreen prints and wood panel. By building up the layers and at the same time weathers the surface down by sanding or tearing it away, he is able to reveal a little history beneath. I love these massive prints. Amazing indeed.
Juxtapoz Magazine's opening reception Buy Blak (Ness) by Fahamu Pecou was also happening next door. It would be nice if I could get a self portrait painted to hang over the fire mantle. A great conversational piece.
