Opening night of Oakland-based artist Jesse Hazlip presents his interpretation of the war in Iraq. Exhibit is currently on display at 941 Geary Gallery in San Francisco until Feb. 26.
The artist’s depiction of mixed media art of wild buffalo and heron birds with war weaponry in place of their heads aims to examine the social and political patterns of war as the same mistakes are repeated over and over again.
